FREE Cheat Sheet – Google Alerts for Genealogy
This week Free Download Friday focuses on working SMARTER when it comes to genealogy research. Does this scenario sound familiar?
Each month, I perform a search on Google using my surnames, ancestral locations and more to find NEW STUFF that I might have missed or was added in the past month. This is time consuming because I have to review EVERYTHING, even what I think I’ve already found.
Well there is a BETTER WAY . . . Google Alerts! Think of it this way: Google Alerts is a preset search based on specific keywords and criteria. It is a notification system, so when new items related to your search are added to Google, you receive an email with the specific items to be reviewed!
I’ve prepared an easy-to-use cheat sheet for Google Alerts for Genealogy which I often use in my mini-lecture on the subject (it is a quick 20 minute presentation). Please check it out and let me know your thoughts!

Why is this FREE? What’s the Catch?
There really isn’t a catch. I give away a lot of free content every year because I want fellow genealogists and family historians to have access to the best tools and information for their research. I also do this because I’m hoping you might be interested in my other content and websites where I do make money such as Genealogy Bargains:
